Junior Kindergarten Level 2 (Ages 2.5 – 5 years)

Our Junior Kindergarten Level 2 program is a caring space where children learn, grow, and prepare for kindergarten while building lifelong values. We focus on nurturing empathy, self-regulation, compassion, and a strong sense of community, helping little ones thrive both inside and outside the classroom.

Our JKL2 children are actively involved in community programs that connect them to the world around them. We take field trips to The Honey Bee Centre, Pumpkin patch and They grow a garden from seeds in our three community garden plots, taking walking field trips to plant, tend, and harvest over the summer months. Children visit the senior centre next door multiple times a year to participate in activities like Halloween parades & dance parties, Christmas caroling, and Easter egg painting. Neighborhood walks include hanging bird feeders, playing at the local playground, feeding ducks, and exploring their environment in meaningful ways. We also take occasional field trips to places like the pumpkin patch or the honeybee centre, giving children new experiences and opportunities to learn about the world around them.

With three dedicated educators, our classroom welcomes up to 25 children between the ages of 2.5 and 5 years, creating a supportive environment where every child is seen and celebrated.

Preschool (Ages 2.5 – 5 years)

Our Preschool program provides a nurturing environment where children explore, learn, and grow at their own pace. While preparing for the next steps in their educational journey, children also develop empathy, self-regulation, compassion, and a strong sense of community.

Preschoolers are actively involved in community programs that connect them to the world around them. They participate in gardening, tending to our community garden plots and harvesting produce during the summer months. Children visit the senior centre next door for fun and meaningful activities, including Halloween parades, dance parties, Christmas caroling, and Easter egg painting. Neighborhood walks include hanging bird feeders, playing at the local playground, feeding the ducks, and exploring their environment in hands-on ways. The classroom accommodates up to 25 children with three caring educators and runs from 8:45 a.m. to 12:45 p.m., giving little ones a balanced morning of learning, play, and community experiences.

Junior Kindergarten Level 1 (Ages 10 months – 3 years)

Our Junior Kindergarten Level 1 program offers a gentle, nurturing environment where the youngest learners can explore, discover, and grow. We focus on fostering curiosity, social-emotional development, and early learning skills, helping children build confidence, empathy, and a sense of belonging from the very start.

With three caring educators supporting a small group of 12 children, our classroom provides individualized attention and a safe, engaging space for children aged 10 months to 3 years.

A key part of our program is the use of sign language, which gives children tools to communicate their needs effectively. This not only encourages early language development but also helps reduce behaviors caused by frustration from not being able to express themselves.

We also take occasional walks in the neighborhood, giving children the opportunity to explore their environment, discover new things, and connect with the community around them.
